Empirical and experimental results along with molecular dynamics simulations show that Knudsen diffusion and slip flow are irrelevant in shales nanopores at high gas pressures (P>3000 psi). Therefore, the gas rarification effects fail to explain high production rate of gas in shales.​ Therefore, we ​​present an analytical solution for ​enhanced gas flow at the outlet of a micropore/network caused by additional influx from many connected nanopores.
