Congratulations to EGG group member, Wardana Saputra, who successfully defended his PhD. dissertation on Nov 4th, 2021. Wardana's research was supervised by Professor Tadeusz Patzek, and his committee included Dr. Michael Marder from University of Texas at Austin and Dr. Raphaël Huser from KAUST. Wardana's work was entitled: "Physics-Guided Data-Driven Production Forecasting in Shales". Wardana received praise from the committee for the uniqueness of his work, which integrated physics and statistics into shales applications.
