Congratulations to EGG group member, Philip Mitchell, who successfully defended his MS thesis on July 21, 2020. Philip’s research was supervised by Professor Tadeusz Patzek, and his committee included Professor Abdulkader Al Afifi and Professor Mani Sarathy. Philip’s thesis was entitled, Planetary Health for the Arabian Peninsula: Environmental Limits to Human Population. Philip received praise from the committee for the high quality of his writing and the breadth of the scope of his thesis, which already “exceeded the level of an MS thesis.” Philip will continue as a PhD student with Professor Patzek.
